Regulations
Erthwrks was established to provide superior customer service and expertise while performing compliance air emission testing. We are on call for our clients with any questions or concerns they come across. Often times, our expertise and experience in the field help us guide our clients towards compliance.
We are often trusted with the testing for new rules and permits, as we have a lot of experience interacting and maintaining a close relationship with state and national officials. The list below are some of the resources we use and may be applicable to our clients or others interested in the field.
40 CFR 60 – Electronic Format – Standards of Performance for New Stationary Sources
Title 40 (Protection of the Environment) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Chapter 1 (Environmental Protection Agency) Subchapter C (Air Programs) Part 60 is, for the most part, the basics and beginnings of the regulations and methodology necessary for us to provide air quality testing for our clients. The appendices outline the many methods we use.
40 CFR 63 – Electronic Format – National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Source Categories
Title 40 (Protection of the Environment) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Chapter 1 (Environmental Protection Agency) Subchapter C (Air Programs) Part 63 outlines the specific tests and approaches to tests for the specific sources (smoke stacks, emission points) that we test. The goal with the subparts in this arena is for the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to gain firm understanding of the emission point at hand. We often find this flowchart to be very helpful for most sources.
40 CFR 75 – Electronic Format – Continuous Emission Monitoring
Erthwrks provides Cylinder Gas Audits (CGA) and Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA) all over the world for our clients. A majority of the regulations necessary to follow during these Audits are found in the performance specifications within Title 40 (Protection of the Environment) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Chapter 1 (Environmental Protection Agency) Subchapter C (Air Programs) Part 75.
